This 68 year-old Ann Arbor, Michigan, patient was troubled by his excess upper eyelid skin. He often felt like he had to use his forehead muscles to raise his eyelids so that he could see. A visual field test performed by an optometrist revealed that extra eyelid skin was causing a visual field loss. An upper eyelid blepharoplasty was performed by our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. After surgery, he noted that everything was brighter and his forehead felt more relaxed because he no longer had to raise his eyebrows to see. He reports his procedure at AAPS gave him a new lease on life.
