Consultation
Your treatment starts with a consultation with your injector during which you will discuss your aesthetic goals and curate an individual treatment plan that meets your specific needs.
Dermal Filler Treatment
Once your treatment plan has been created, your expert injector may use a topical anesthetic cream to numb the treatment area. A blunt-tipped cannula may be used to help reduce bruising and tenderness. Treatments can take 30 minutes or less to complete. Some results can be seen immediately; however, some fillers take a few days to weeks for results to fully appear.
Dermal Filler Recovery
After your dermal filler treatment, you’ll be advised to avoid strenuous activities, alcohol consumption, and sun exposure for the first 24 hours. Patients should also avoid touching or massaging the area to avoid spreading the dermal filler and impeding results. Mild bruising and swelling are normal and should resolve over the next few hours to days. Patients can return to work that day or the following.
We provide Arnica Montana gel to our patients to help speed up healing and diminish the appearance of bruising. Other than limitations on activities, there is no recovery process necessary after dermal fillers.
What Are Other Types of Dermal Fillers for Men?
In addition to Juvéderm® and Restylane® products, we also offer our male patients Sculptra, a poly-L-lactic acid collagen stimulator. Sculptra is an FDA-approved collagen stimulator that works with your body to promote collagen production and restore the skin’s underlying structure.
