This 35 year-old patient is a mother of two and wanted her pre-baby body back. After meeting with our Board Certified Michigan Plastic Surgeon at Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery, she learned that smoking can affect her healing process and her final results. She wanted to have an abdominoplasty with flank liposuction more than she wanted her cigarettes. She agreed to quit four weeks before and after surgery.The patient’s scar was placed lower than her existing C-section scar. In addition to her flank liposuction, she also had liposuction to her mons pubis region to enhance and smooth her final result. Refraining from smoking was key to a successful and safe surgery. Post-surgery she indeed has her pre-baby body back but it’s even better. She is very grateful to AAPS.
