The Beginning

I knew he was the doctor for me when meeting Dr. Malhotra. I am a researcher and because of the photos posted by his patients, the rhinoplasty content on his website, and verifying his extensive qualifications, including otolaryngology, I chose to consult with Dr. Malhotra!!!

I see a lot of revision rhinoplasty patients who have often researched our practice for years. Many of our patients choose by following patients’ course on social media.

The Consultation

Having worked for a doctor in the past, I was intentionally respectful of his time. Dr. Malhotra’s bedside manner immediately brought me peace, he was patient and never seemed rushed or annoyed. His demeanor is pleasant and calming, he was polite, knowledgeable, and upfront about the risks concerning my specific situation- especially since I was considering a revision rhinoplasty.

Dr. Malhotra’s Notes:

It was obvious that she had done her homework and was very knowledgeable about revision rhinoplasty surgery. Overall she noted her nose was up turned too much, her profile needed refinement, and people could look into her nostrils. I also noted that her bridge looked irregular and I could see where the previous surgeon had not created a smooth bridge for her.

The Big Day

On the day of my surgery, I was brought peace as Dr. Malhotra touched base with me before the surgery to ensure we were on the same page.

Dr. Malhotra’s Notes:

She was very funny and said, “I know you are not a big hugger so I will give you a mental hug before surgery!”. I thought that was really sweet. I reviewed with her in detail what our goals were and a little more about the recovery process.

The Outcome

My new and improved nose has healed nicely. Prior to the surgery, I was unhappy with several aspects of my nose. It was deviated with a bulbous tip, a bit too long and upturned, and my wide nostrils flared when I laughed. Since surgery I breathe better, which is a bonus, but I thought was interesting as I thought my nose functioned well prior to this procedure. My biggest complaints prior to surgery were my profile and the flare of my wide nostrils- I love my new profile! My new nose is now shorter in length, my nostrils appear smaller and no longer flare in an unflattering way, and my nose is straighter than before. This was a revision which requires an experienced and proficient surgeon, such as Dr. M.! At my first post-op appointment, I had shed tears upon the reveal. I am beyond thankful and Dr. Malhotra will always be my surgeon! I plan to see him for years to come. I felt like our very delicate surgical technique with swelling minimization maneuvers was really effective. Her video really shows how great she looks at a week. I am so pleased with the outcome of a very difficult case. Although I like the cases that are a little more challenging!
